Wait on the Lord

Here's a sample of brother Paul's message on Sunday 26/10/2014

Psalm 27. Waiting on the Lord

Wait on the Lord  Be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait I say on the Lord.

There’s a difference between stopping and waiting.
Waiting is not a stopping point. It’s simply a junction to switch direction so that you can reach your God given destiny.
We live in a generation that does not like to wait.
The result our generation has lost its destiny.
Our culture is breeding a “want it now” society
People like speed and fastness, fast food, fast service, Fast cars, fast broadband.
The “speed and need” generation, the “rage age” Do you remember the days when folks sat on a train looking out of the window? Today we are too caught up in our fast smart phone, looking at things that we become oblivious to Godly things around us. Opportunities to witness miss us, opportunities to build connections, and evangelize.

Wordsworth when he said “What if this life if full of care we have no time to sit and stare.”
We have forgotten how to wait. We don't "wait" anymore! Waiting is a spiritual discipline, that effects how we think act and live. When we fail to wait we fail to value, we fail to love, we fail to correct and we fail to respect each other.

The result, we make wrong decisions because they too are made out of haste. We break up good relationships because we've made hasty decisions. We have forgotten how to think things through and "pray through!" We want quick solutions and have forgotten the process of thinking things through. We cant wait and our hast is damaging our lives, our family too. We've lost the skill of building long term because when we waited, we gave a thing, serious attention and considerable thought, then we added prayer and sought God's will.

Wait I say on the Lord!

When a man does not pray he loses not only his vision for his family but he also loses the dominion in his own soul. To pray is to ponder the path of our feet. To get our heart in-line with God's will. No wonder men's hearts are failing them today. No wonder our cares overwhelm us, we have forgotten how to handle big problems. Wait on the Lord!  Prayer is the key to divine breakthrough for it gives a man control over his soul and gives God control of his destiny. It connects him to God's server. the Holy Ghost. It connects him to God.

The God Kind of Love

The God Kind of Love
The fruit of the Spirit is Love (1 Cor 13:)
God is love (1 John 4:16)
Upon this rock I will build my church. (MT 16:18)
God is our Rock (Ps 62:6)
Since God is love then God will build his church on love

(ii)Matthew 22:34-40
Love your neighbour as yourself
Two new commandments up which hang all the old commandments. By keeping the new commandment we fulfil the law of God.  How we love each other reflects  and gives us a real picture on how much we really do love God. One is a mirror of the other.

(iii)Who is my neighbour?
Not the one who lives next door but the one you "associate" with
a.Your wife.. Wives submit to your husbands as unto the Lord (Eph 5:22,23)
b.Your children...Children obey your parents (Eph 6:1)
c.Your servant (co worker, employees or boss) (Eph 6:5)

Two Kinds of people those who build on the sand and those who build on the rock. Dont ask God for more love, use the love thats already in you. love your neighbor as yourself and so fulfill the law of God. God is Love!
